Week 3/19 Action 4: Stand with Our Immigrants by Supporting Sanctuary Restaurants

Although Trump’s second Muslim ban was stopped a Hawaiian court last week, the Trump Administration's orders authorizing the rounding up of the 11 million undocumented immigrants in our country remain in effect, as does the terror that many among us are feeling right now.

We are asking you to literally put your money where your mouth is by supporting the Sanctuary Restaurants movement. Launched earlier this month by Restaurant Opportunities Centers United (ROC United), a restaurant worker advocacy group, and Presente.org, a Latinx social justice organization, Sanctuary Restaurants provides resources to restaurants, enabling them to support our community, including our undocumented immigrants.

We won’t swallow hate and we need to make sure that the restaurants that we are giving our money to are standing with all-of-us

Here's how:

1. Go to Sanctuary Restaurants, read about the movement, and sign up. (5 minutes)

2. Print these cards, keep them in your wallet, and take them to your favorite restaurants next time you go. Or call or email your favorite restaurants and tell them about Sanctuary Restaurants. (5 minutes)

3. Look at the resources for consumers and restaurant owners, and use them. (10 minutes)

4. Follow Sanctuary Restaurants on Twitter (@table4everyone) and Facebook. (3 minutes)
